Southern African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Southern Africa) Announces Newly Elected Board

AHK SOUTHERN AFRICA STATEMENT

Johannesburg, Monday 24 June 2024 - The AHK Southern Africa is pleased to announce the new members elected to its board of directors and advisory board during its Annual General Meeting hosted on Thursday 20 June 2024.

Mr. Peter van Binsbergen, CEO of BMW Group South Africa, was elected as President of the Chamber. Mr. Jens Papperitz, Senior Vice President Sales Latin America/Middle East/Africa at B. Braun SE, will now serve as the Immediate Past President.

Mr. Kay Schröder, Director of WerthSchröder Inc., will continue to serve as Deputy President as well as Treasurer, and Mr. Franz-Peter Falke, Managing Shareholder of Falke KGaA, will serve as Vice President.

The newly elected members of the board are Ms. Saloshni Pillay, Chief Executive Officer / Chief Country Officer and Head of Institutional Client Group (ICG) and Global Emerging Markets (GEM) for South Africa at Deutsche Bank, and Ms. Mpho Toolo, General Manager and Managing Director of Dr. Oetker South Africa (Pty) Ltd. The Ex officio of the Board is Ms Simone Pohl, AHK Southern Africa CEO.

Mr. Peter van Binsbergen, says, “We, the newly elected board of directors, look forward to serving and working closely with the Chamber staff and Stakeholders to follow the great work of former leaders of the Board of Directors that have shaped the AHK Southern Africa.
