Entering the European Market: CSR, Due Diligence and ESG for Ensuring Compliance in Your Supply Chain

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is commonly referred to as companies enhancing their positive impact and preventing, managing and mitigating any negative impacts on society and the environment, including within their global supply chain.

While CSR and the related Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria were, for a long time, considered an ethical question for companies, more and more jurisdictions are now passing legislations implementing a due diligence duty for businesses, such as the German Supply Chain Act or the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). The aim of such due diligence enquiries is to ensure that companies are “identifying, bringing to an end, preventing, mitigating and accounting for negative human rights and environmental impacts in the company’s own operations, their subsidiaries and their value chains.” (EU Sustainable Corporate Governance Directive).

The speakers of this webinar covered topics such as what due diligence enquiries entail and how to implement a risk-based approach in your company to comply with the existing or upcoming requirements.

Online Information Session: A practical and cost-efficient roadmap to secure your business data in your enterprise IT infrastructure

Information Security & GDPR

Presentation

Sources for new solutions for CIO, CISO, Security Directors, Risk & Compliance Officers, IT Directors and IT Service Companies.

The scope of Information Security is far wider than what is commonly understood to be in GDPR scope – i.e. covers customer data, but also B2B business data, enterprise KPI’s, procurement data, HR data, etc. Information Security is taking care about who has access to what data in your enterprise, when and how, and about the ability to control that access.

The implication of some indiscretion or of a data breach can be enormous in terms of reputational and/or financial damage, in any industry. Yet for many large businesses this is still work in progress: supporting capabilities may be outdated, incomplete, inflexible, slow or non-scalable, user-unfriendly, very expensive – or simply not existing.

This webinar provided insight into a roadmap for businesses on how this topic can be addressed systematically and in a cost-effective way.
