The milestone event, held in Morningside, Sandton, served as a tribute to the organization’s journey since its very first activities in South Africa in 1976.

The anniversary event opened with networking and canapes, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of the Organic Lounge sax and DJ duo. The unrivalled Carol Tshabalala presided as MC, elegantly guiding guests through KAEFER's history following a powerful performance by professional dancers.

This year, the celebration had the honour of welcoming distinguished leaders from the Southern African German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including Nikitta Vogl and Alexa Gerrard. Their presence highlighted the strong ties and enduring partnership between KAEFER’s German heritage and the Southern African business community.

A highlight of the evening included a Q&A session on stage featuring KAEFER Group CEO, Dr. Roland Gärber, and KAEFER South Africa’s Managing Director, Jayson Cleaver. The dialogue reflected on the company's evolution from its humble roots in 1918 - inspired by the insulating qualities of peat - into a global powerhouse and technical industrial services leader with revenues exceeding R50 billion.

The story of KAEFER South Africa is also one of deep social commitment. A poignant moment of the night focused on the success of the beneficiary trusts and empowerment programs, which empower young South African women through educational bursaries, tuition, and accommodation. Jayson Cleaver shared uplifting success stories of how these trusts have been "working their magic" by helping recipients focus on their studies and build bright futures. These stories of hope and determination underscored KAEFER's commitment to uplifting communities and fostering the next generation of leaders.

The evening concluded with a high-energy performance by The Muses and an awards presentation to honour those who have played a vital role in KAEFER's 50-year milestone. Formalities were followed by a dinner, offering further opportunities for guests to connect and celebrate together.

Managing Director Jayson Cleaver and the board extended a heartfelt thank you to valued clients, suppliers, and guests for their steadfast support and collaboration.
