Celebrating 60 Years of Partnerships and Shared Progress
As part of our ongoing 60th anniversary campaign in South Africa, we recently brought together customers, partners, industry leaders and stakeholders to celebrate 60 years of BASF in South Africa.
More than a celebration, the evening was an opportunity to recognise the customers and partners who have been part of our journey over the decades. Their trust, collaboration and partnership have helped us grow, innovate and create value across industries and communities.
We were honoured to welcome distinguished guests, including His Excellency Oliver Rentschler, German Ambassador-Designate to South Africa, and former South African Minister of Finance Nhlanhla Nene, alongside representatives from the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), the German Chamber, industry associations and businesses across key sectors.
At the heart of the evening was a simple message: Thank You. Thank you to the customers and partners who have walked this journey with us, challenged us, collaborated with us and helped us turn chemistry into solutions that create meaningful value.
As we continue to celebrate this milestone year, we remain inspired by the relationships that have shaped our past and excited about the opportunities ahead.
