Investment remains largely conservative, with companies prioritising maintenance over expansion.
Policy and regulatory uncertainty continues to be the main constraint on business activity, alongside skills shortages and infrastructure challenges. Despite this, German companies reaffirm their long-term commitment to South Africa and the region, viewing Southern Africa as a strategic platform for regional engagement.
