hello@germanchamber.co.zaUnpacking Emerging EU and Buyer ESG Requirements for KZN Exporters
21 October 2026 / 08:30-15:30
PMCB Trade Hub, Pietermaritzburg
European buyers, financiers, and global supply chains are increasingly asking exporters to demonstrate how they manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues across their operations and supply chains. For many South African SMEs, this is not about starting from scratch. Good business practices such as treating employees fairly, conserving resources, supporting local communities, and managing business risks responsibly are already part of how they operate.
The challenge is understanding how these practices connect to evolving buyer expectations and emerging sustainability requirements.
The ESG Supply Chain Gathering is an interactive workshop designed specifically for SA exporters who want to strengthen their market position, prepare for future requirements, and turn sustainability into a competitive advantage.
Through expert insights, peer learning, group exercises, and hands-on tools, participants will explore a simple five-step framework for building a credible and effective ESG strategy.
