Bavaria–Gauteng Strategic Economic Roundtable

We are pleased to invite Bavarian companies to the Gauteng-Bavaria Strategic Economic Roundtable, taking place in Johannesburg on the 26th of June 2026, from 11:30 to 13:30. 

Gauteng is South Africa’s primary economic, industrial, and policy hub, while Bavaria is Germany’s largest federal state by economic output and is a leading region for advanced manufacturing, automotive, industrial engineering, energy systems, and applied innovation. Building on the inaugural Gauteng Means Business engagement held earlier this year, this roundtable aims to translate existing momentum into practical cooperation and concrete business opportunities for you as South African based Bavarian companies. 

The roundtable is jointly organised together with the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency. 

Objectives of the roundtable include: 

• Strengthening economic cooperation between Bavaria and Gauteng in priority growth sectors 
• Connecting Bavarian companies with key public and private stakeholders in Gauteng 
• Identifying concrete cooperation, localisation, and investment opportunities 
• Provide a solution-oriented platform for open exchange 
• Positioning the Gauteng-Bavaria relationship as a practical and results-driven economic partnership 
• Spotlight sector-specific partner & business opportunities in automotive, green energy, green hydrogen, water, waste management and manufacturing (not limited to).
