The luncheon brought together leading business executives and diplomatic representatives for an open and solutions-focused dialogue on key challenges in South Africa’s immigration and customs systems—particularly around visa processing and attracting critical skills. It was warmly received by the German-speaking business community and marked a valuable step toward strengthening cooperation between business and government, fostering open dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and deeper collaboration.
Dr. Schreiber shared plans to modernize these systems through automation, increased transparency, and reduced reliance on human discretion—steps aimed at making South Africa more accessible and competitive.
Our CEO, Simone Pohl, emphasized the value of such engagements and reaffirmed our commitment to working closely with government to unlock South Africa’s full potential as a key investment destination and regional gateway.
The event was a meaningful step toward stronger collaboration between business and government—and a shared goal of creating a more transparent, efficient, and investor-friendly environment.
