C-Accreditation of local training courses and programmes

Since 1985, AHK Southern Africa has implemented vocational training programmes that blend German training standards with South African regulatory and industry-specific requirements. These programmes follow the renowned German dual vocational training model, which is highly regarded worldwide.

Accreditation Categories

The German training framework classifies qualifications into three categories:

A-Category

Training is delivered and assessed strictly in accordance with the official German training ordinance, ensuring complete alignment with German standards.

B-Category

Qualifications are developed outside Germany and adapted by AHKs to meet local industry needs while maintaining core German training principles.

C-Category

Local short courses and structured programmes designed by training providers. These programmes integrate essential elements of the German dual training approach and, once evaluated, receive AHK endorsement.

This C-Accreditation service is now available to all members and partners of AHK Southern Africa.
