The AdA International Vocational Trainer Qualification (AHK) is based on the Trainer Aptitude Ordinance (Ausbildereignungsverordnung, AEVO) standards. During training, a balance is maintained between the German dual vocational training framework and the South African system of post-school education, the new Occupational Training Framework.
What is covered during the course?
- What makes the German Vocational Education and Training Model successful, and how does it compare to the South African post-school education?
- The participation of in-company trainers and mentors in the recruitment of interns.
- Methods and activities needed for planning the training of interns and apprentices.
- Conducting training in the vocational or occupational environment.
- Assessing learning for high competency and performance.
The course evaluation comprises a written assessment and a practical demonstration of a lesson in a typical vocational set-up, assessed by an independent panel of vocational trainers.
