Mark Thomas: is a Legal Director in Pinsent Masons’ Johannesburg Competition practise with extensive experience in high-value and complex competition and regulatory matters. He has advised clients across a range of sectors and has particular expertise in navigating contentious proceedings and regulatory investigations. Mark’s competition law background is complemented by formal qualifications in both competition law and competition economics, enabling him to provide commercially focused and strategic advice on antitrust and regulatory risk.
Christian Peeters: is a Legal Director based in Düsseldorf. Christian is a highly experienced competition / antitrust practitioner. He advises clients on complex cartel investigations, abuse of dominance matters, merger control reviews, distribution systems, cooperation agreements and competition compliance programmes. Christian regularly represents clients before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office and other competition authorities worldwide. Over the past 20 years of his career, Christian advised on several high-profile international investigations and major cross-border transactions, providing clients with practical and strategic guidance on sophisticated competition issues.
Andrew Attieh: is a Senior Associate specialising in contentious competition matters, and has advised South African and multinational clients on various regulatory issues. Andrew regularly represents clients in matters before the Competition Tribunal, the South African courts, and in engagements with the Competition Commission. Andrew is also experienced in multijurisdictional merger control and regulatory compliance engagements, having worked closely with several of the Pinsent Masons offices globally.
