TVET lecturers play a critical role in preparing South Africa's future workforce. Through their dedication, expertise and commitment to learner success, they help develop the skills needed to support economic growth, industry competitiveness and employment creation.
The National TVET Excellence Awards South Africa 2026 recognises lecturers who demonstrate excellence in teaching, innovation, industry engagement, occupational training and learner development. These awards celebrate educators who go beyond the classroom to inspire learners, strengthen industry partnerships and contribute to the advancement of vocational and occupational training in South Africa.
The TVET lecturers are encouraged to nominate themselves or accept nominations from Principals, Heads of Department, colleagues or other approved nominators. Participation provides an opportunity to showcase achievements, share best practices and contribute to a culture of excellence across the TVET sector.
