The SAGCC, a non-profit membership organisation which provides a wide portfolio of services to members and non-members which include; Market Entry, Market Information, Law and Taxes, PR and Marketing Service, Trade fair services, Visa service and Dual vocational training, providing the ideal platform to connect potential trade partners.

The Chamber is one of the largest bilateral Business Chambers in South Africa with notable membership representation from a variety of industries in southern Africa.

Based on a resolution of the German Bundestag, the Chamber is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and fulfil specified obligations, on behalf of the German government.

Cape Town:
The Cape Town regional office was established in 2000. The Competence Centres: Sustainable Energies and Water Management are based here; this includes support services related to Industry. The Cape Town regional team also offers proficient services in areas linked to financial services, creative industry, green economy, agriculture, tourism, process outsourcing as well as trade fair representation.

Durban:
The Durban Regional office was established in 2012. The office is responsible for the Kwa-Zulu Natal province market with a dedicated focus on the food and agriculture machinery fields and the recycling and waste management sectors. In addition, it offers business support and services related to the industrial and consumer goods manufacturing sector, harbour industry, and trade fair representation.
