Zimbabwe is currently one of the poorest economies in the world, characterised by very high unemployment, low gross domestic product, shortages of foreign exchange, investment and energy, and a fallow state in many economic sectors.

The Harare office is anticipated to be opened in 2019.The Zimbabwean office will focus on market development and in major industries which include mining, agriculture, energy, water and infrastructure development. An Honorary representative has been appointed in the country since 2014 facilitating market entry support, business meetings, information sessions and delegation visits.
