Business-to-Business Discussions and Conference on Bioenergy for Industrial Self-Supply in South Africa

The SA-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG and the South African Biogas Industry Association (SABIA), have held successful business-to-business discussions on the opportunities of bioenergy for industrial embedded energy supply in South Africa.

The B2B discussions and corresponding conference took place in Johannesburg from the 12-15 November. Further meetings were held in Durban, East London and Cape Town. About 120 stakeholders and business representatives attended the conference.

The event provided insights in the current status of the South African business environment for bioenergy and international lessons learnt concerning the viable application of bioenergy technology. In addition attendees were informed about latest, proven technology for the realisation and operation of bioenergy facilities, including waste heat utilisation, efficiency enhancing control technologies and combustion systems.

The SA-German Chamber of Commerce & Industry would like to express its gratitude to all conference visitors and B2B discussion partners.

Your participation and interest in the event was highly appreciated.

The bioenergy conference and business-to-business exchange was an activity of the Energy Solutions Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
