Zimbabwe was once considered the jewel of Africa with its flourishing agricultural sector and broad industrial base. Currently, the country shows a rather difficult market environment, with high unemployment and low growth rates. Nevertheless, changes on a political level, as well as efforts to position the country as “open for business” give hope for a fresh start. Businesses are eagerly awaiting the new turns this country will take. For now, everyone is holding a collective breath in the run-up to the elections, which will take place on 30 July 2018.
