3rd Annual Ethics Conference
>South Africa, as with many other countries, is at the crossroads and perhaps facing its most challenging crises point in time. The lack of leadership, integrity and accountability is the root cause of impending anarchy. The Annual Ethics Conference is an initiative of the Ethics Institute of South Africa (EthicsSA) to present a platform for reviewing the status of Ethics and for debating solutions.
At the 2nd Annual Conference of EthicsSA (held in May 2012), a clear consensus emerged that urgent restoration of the moral fibre of South Africa is needed to rescue the dream of the “Rainbow Nation”. As a direct response to this imperative, the 3rd Annual Conference of EthicsSA will focus on ’RESTORING INTEGRITY’.
The 3rd Annual Ethics Conference that will be held at Sandton Convention Centre on 11 March 2013 will focus on positive signs of ethical reform in South Africa. Examples of emerging ethical practice in the economy, public service, business and education will be showcased. Experts will comment on these case studies and explore how lessons learned from these initiatives can be used to enhance the state of ethics in South Africa.
