The South African Electro Technical Export Council (SAEEC) is a non-profit company established as a Public Private Partnership between South African business and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to facilitate the export growth and internationalisation of its members producing electro technical products.  Its core mission is the facilitation, support, development and growth of exports in the Electro technical sector through co-operation and expansion of the base of exporters for the prosperity of its members.

On the 13th of August 2018 the SAEEC introduced the Energy Mining Agriculture Manufacturing and Industry (EMAMI) Export Incubator at Centre for Science and Industrial Research (CSIR). The EMAMI-Export Incubator is Industry an 4.0 focused entity and The Competence Centre for Mineral Resources (CCMR) along with small and medium enterprise owners were in attendance. Incubators are organizations designed to accelerate the growth and success of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services that will include physical space, capital, coaching, common services, and networking connections.

An array of speakers including Siemens South Africa Executive Director Rita Nkuhlu, SAEEC board member Mark Taylor and representatives from government spoke about the economic opportunities available in the Industry 4.0 economy for emerging entrepreneurs, the growth potential that exists for the South African economy as well as the role government plays from a policy perspective.

The EMAMI-Export incubator will provide a platform for ideas to be transformed into tangible businesses for the local and export markets. This will be done by providing budding entrepreneurs access to the requisite skills and infrastructure to make Industry 4.0 product development a reality. Collaboration with the Department of Small Business Development, the Centre for Science Industrial Research (CSIR), the DTI and the membership of SAEEC will form the backbone of the ambitious program. The Incubator will be formally launched in February 2019.
