The pavilion was very well located (Hall 9), very visible amid newer wine displays and had an outstanding number of visitors. KwaZulu Natal – Durban
South African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry celebrates the five-year anniversary of its Durban office
2nd March 2017 marked a milestone event in SAGCCI’s history. The auspicious date marked five years since the official launch of the Chamber’s KZN Regional office in Durban. In commemoration of this fifth anniversary, it was most fitting that the Directorate and Senior Council Meeting was also held in Durban for the very first time, on the same day. The events of the day were a sterling success with the meeting commencing in the late afternoon at Durban’s one and only Royal Natal Yatch Club, situated at the Yatch Mole. This culminated into what turned out to be an incredible evening of relaxation, mild formalities, an unforgettable 3-Course Dinner and a memorable tour of the Durban Harbor and surrounds aboard the infamous La Vue Floating Restaurant at Wilson’s Wharf. Attendees included 50 guests; among them Directorate and Senior Council members, Chamber Members, Government officials, VIPs and key stakeholders. The success of the evening was capped with immaculate weather that allowed for breathtaking sights from the vessel’s upper deck. The momentous evening closed with attendees thoroughly enjoying themselves before safely disembarking at around 10:00pm.

The Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation is the largest ideal membership organization with nearly 700,000 members. The goal is to save lives by strengthening air ambulance service throughout Norway. This is done through thorough research, development and cooperation with other emergency services.
One of the main challenges are the weather patterns in secluded areas.
In the past air ambulance crews had no other meteorological data or information than given by the Norwegian meteorological service. Often they had to turn back when the weather suddenly changed or had to fly around mountains, losing precious, lifesaving time.[Read more]
