Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI) is the economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. Founded in January 2009, the organization informs and advises international companies setting up business in Germany. Furthermore, the GTAI supports German-based businesses seeking to expand in international markets with up-to-the-minute foreign trade information.

Germany Trade and Invest has a global network of employees who work closely with the German Chambers of Commerce (AHKs). This cooperation aims to offer German exporters and potential foreign investors a central contact point for both country-specific market information and targeted consultancy services under the umbrella of the AHKs.

The "Germany - Land of Ideas" initiative made a big difference.

The country's public and private sector joined forces to arrive at a new form of nation branding - creative and full of surprises for observers abroad, motivating and engaging inside Germany. The proof of this Public Private Partnership model of business and cooperation partners, sponsors and backers lies in its success.

"Germany - Land of Ideas" has developed into a sustainable nation brand for Germany: not merely an advertising campaign to accompany the World Cup 2006, but one that relies on larger, overriding themes and content. Myriad activities served to paint an authentic, up-to-date image of the Land of Ideas, and will be continued in the years ahead.
